About this deal

I also think her hair isn’t the best quality I have seen on a doll and does tend to fall out quite easily – she is not going to go bald but this isn’t a doll to be doing a lot of makeovers on. Larger items, primarily outdoor or ride-on products are shipped directly from Hamleys partners and may take longer to arrive. When I had a little girl I instantly had visions of her floating around in a little tutu and promised myself that I would never force my likes onto her. Evelyn is 5 and after a quick demonstration on how to get the ballerina to work (pushing or pulling on the top of her crown) she was happily and easily playing with the doll all by herself.

Her hair is initially in a little clear plastic band in a pony-tail which can be removed so her hair is down or you can manipulate it into a bun, but you don’t get anything to do this with. So you can imagine how excited she was when a beautiful ballerina doll landed on our doorstep for her to test out. I’ve been practicing ballet since I was a toddler and even though I’m not the most technical of dancers (I am only six) as soon as I hear music I can’t wait to shake my tail feathers! You can change your choices at any time by visiting Cookie preferences, as described in the Cookie notice. Press down on the tiara and watch her pirouette, spin on both toes, kick forwards and backwards and do the splits. When you press down on the tiara with both her feet on the floor, she will point her toes and pirouette round and round. Its a pretty repetitive tune and fairly loud, with no option to turn the music off or down it can be a little tedious.

She comes with a shimmering tutu outfit that, when you press her tummy lights up and sparkles when you turn the switch on which is located in the back under her tutu and also plays music as well. When we were offered the chance to check out the new Ballerina Dreamer Dancing Ballerina, I knew it would be right up Eliza’s street, and lovely for her to have something that relates to an activity she does. Press down on her tummy to see her dress light up and hear beautiful music which the Bear loves dancing along to.I think the biggest appeal is going to be that she is absolutely beautiful and has almost glass-like eyes which sparkle almost as much as her light up tutu skirt. With movable arms to create a variety of ballet-poses, Dancing Ballerina also has lots of beautiful details including her big blue eyes and lovely long blonde hair that can be styled up or down to create different looks as she dances.

Press down on her magical tiara and watch her pirouette, spin on both toes, kick forwards and backwards. Not flimsy at all, giving me confidence that she is going to hold up to the serious amount of play that I have no doubt that she is going to receive. At first glance she’s an A-typical doll, with full blonde hair and a pretty pink dress, but what separates her from other dolls is the magic that happens when you hold down her tiara. She can pirouette, spin on both toes and kick forwards and backwards if you press down on her magical tiara.
