About this deal

But since the ink is fast drying and waterproof, there is a chance that it will eventually clog the channel of the pen. The most comfortable pen I've ever used and the nibs glides, and hasn't as yet drags, across different grades of paper.

Additionally make sure your User-Agent is not empty and is something unique and descriptive and try again. And as mentioned, the channel is slightly wider, so that the Platinum Carbon Black ink can flow well. I just wanted to congratulate for your good and deep review for those three pens; I also wanted to ask if you know how would that Platinum KDP-3000 compare to the Platinum 3776 UEF in regards of line thinness? Ergonomic body - Combining the balance and nib shape of the quill pen with the convenience of a modern fountain pen for comfortable grip. Ideal for fine drawing, sketching, drafts and good for colouring large areas as they feature robust fibre tips for even and precise strokes.

And is there a similar pen that is more readily available here in the states theat will perform similarly to this? Do this carefully The feed looks different from the Carbon Desk Pen and there is an inner part (not seen here) of the feed that cannot be removed.

We believe that giving children the right materials, they will make and play with beautiful things that last a lifetime. Too thin for big fingers, too long to be taken seriously, there really is no need, even for an art pen to be so long. I was surprised at how easily the ink flowed and the amount I could vary the line width with only a slight turn of the barrel.

I wasn't too fussy about looks, I did think it was a little bland, but quite attractive in a quirky way compared to fountain pens of the time, but what upped the score was the fact it was quite slender, sleek and old fashioned (I thought it looked like an old fashioned dip pen). The tapered ends resemble the ends of paint brushes and I believe it helps the balance when writing or drawing.

The Lyra Art pen is available in 36 loose colours includingfluorescent and metallic gold and silver permanent, opaque colours which can beused on dark surfaces .

When pressure is applied to the nib, the line can go about 3 times wider but it requires a lot of pressure. But this would mean that the line width would be slightly thicker than if the channel wasn’t widened. But having said this, it is still a useful addition to my art box, good for uninterrupted sketching and for larger pen and wash paintings (the pen needs to go on after the watercolour though unless you want the ink to run). The Lamys and Schneiders - even the cheapest Chinese - are so very much better there's simply no comparison. Lyra Art Pens contains high quality fibre tip art pens in a selection of brilliant, lightfast water-based colours.

I will pass on doing a review on this one for now, I think the Lamy series have had so many reviews by so many people who are very experienced I cannot see if there is anything I could add that hasn't been covered. However, in the last few years I have been totally spoilt by the introduction of new, higher end pens with various gorgeous nibs etc, so armed with this knowledge, I have to (probably quite unfairly) knock a couple of points off. Also noticed it misuses strokes all the time I have to keep going over my line's also the ink is only water resistant not waterproof big difference paint to close to this ink with say yellow or white and the ink bleeds into the wet paint.

Perhaps using the converter with a fountain-pen safe waterproof ink may offer a solution for watercolorists. The only downside I have found so far, is that the nib isn't as fine as you may expect - tested against Rotring fineliners, the line width is somewhere in the range of .
