Question: I received a message that says NOTICE: The current profile is not allowed to play on Xbox Live. What does this mean, and why can”t I play?
Answer: If you do not have an active Xbox Live Gold account, you will not be able to play online multiplayer games.
Players receive this message for one of three reasons:
