I'd definitely use Highway 66 (a pale green balm that turns into a light peach) as an everyday lip balm —you can swipe it on without a mirror, which is a requirement I now have for all of my lip balms since moving to New York. I have repurchased that green one (cleverly named Frog Prince) more times than I can count and I’ve given it as gifts just as many times – because it’s foolproof since it reacts with each individual’s body!

I presume the fact that the founder is from Australia (where standards are higher than in the US) plays a part in this. BLR worked best over three light-colored matte lipsticks: Milani Matte Naked, a slightly grayish nude; Urban Decay Backtalk, a mauvey pink; and ColourPop Trap, a light purply greige. You would never think that a green-colored lipstick would actually reveal a pretty pink hue once it graces your lips, but it does! Gone are the days of scouring the lipstick counter for a flattering pink shade, because I can keep this in my makeup bag, and know that it always works. But I’ve never claimed to be impervious to makeup gimmicks, and one of LQ’s new lipsticks eventually caught my eye: Black Lace Rabbit, a sheer black with gold sparkles.New: A brand-new, unused, unopened and undamaged item in original retail packaging (where packaging . This one turned out to be a lot more purply than the other black shades, and even seemed to have the slightest glimmer. Active ingredients: Beeswax, castor seed oil, meadowfoam seed and olive oils, shea butter, and more. Some mention that the green color was certainly entertaining, but the fact it transforms into a red one is surprisingly entertaining.

Selling colours that transform, and textures and formulas that are moisturising, Lipstick Queen have a lip product for every one, no matter the occasion. The colour shifted to a rosy pink and because the product is a balm, my lips stayed hydrated for a few hours. I loved the wash of orange over my lips, and I found this shade made me look actually put-together on a day in which I had no makeup whatsoever.
