About this deal

I got an amazing parcel from Cult Beauty a (week or so) back and inside was the Huda Beauty Rose Gold Remastered Palette* which I've heard great things about and after the success I had with the Huda Beauty Liquid Lipsticks* being some of the most gorgeously pigmented, comfortable picks ever, I had high hopes for this palette too. The brand would have been better off releasing a palette of just the Melted Metals as a cream eyeshadow palette to be used with fingertips or include a specific applicator for best results because marketing the formula as "easily" used with a brush is just not the case.

It’s something I always reach for, such an amazing collection of shades that are super pigmented and blend out like a dream! Amp up your look by topping it off with one of the '3D Metals' to give your eyes an incomparable pop. I know the launch caused an uproar among the beauty community, with Huda and Makeup fans alike complaining they’d purchased the original version after Huda’s public exclamations and reminders that it was a limited edition product and would soon be gone forever! For those wondering, I purchased the 18 pan swatch stencil from Swatch Perfect and it made this photo a whole lot easier!

The Huda Beauty Rose Gold Palette launches later this month, and it's safe to say that I, personally, am counting down the minutes to the May 22 drop. The matte colors looked almost the same when I used them on my eyes (I just had to build the color from the original a little bit more when using the mattes). The formula isn't crumbly, so you don't get much fall out from the mattes, although I always expect a few bits from any shimmers. The bottom row are the mattes and they pull all the shades of the palette together in my opinion as this is where the browns, blacks and darker hue are kept to really had a smokey feel to whatever look you're creating. ethylhexyl polyhydroxystearate, dimethicone/vinyl dimethicone crosspolymer, cococaprylate/caprate, c15-23 alkane.

The only downside being that they needed to be applied with your finger for the best results and this caused controversy for some of the beauty world. For the best look, I'd definitely get a glitter glue, the glitter didn't budge once it was set in my eyes and I was out for 10 hours! Once you know how to work the textured eyeshadows it’s easy, and the mattes blend like a dream it’s not as buttery as ABH, but it’s super pigmented and blendable. The material on this site may not be reproduced, distributed, transmitted, cached or otherwise used, except with the prior written permission of Condé Nast. They feel slightly wet, specially Pink Diamond (feel similar to Colour Pop Super Shock Shadows) The only downside is they’re still not that pigmented when you apply with a brush, even if you wet them.
