So he hides Gor, passing him off as his adopted son, whilst going to painstaking lengths to teach him to walk and talk. The half male half ape grew up and everything seemed relatively happy until the shocking ending where Gor obtained the truth of his origins. I originally saw this series on the Sci-Fi Channel at Christmas 2005 and I thought it was an interesting and very well acted drama.
