About this deal

There are just so many awesome and impressive upcycled things you can make with wine, beer, and other glass bottles that have been cut around their bottom, top, or mid-section. At last, a tool made from recycled aluminium that allows you to recycle bottles and wide-mouth jars! Then perhaps you’d prefer this slightly more advanced version from the same company, HPST, that’s a little more adjustable! This kit comprises a frame, a removable glass cutter with 6 turreted cutting heads, a tapper, two polishing pads (approximately 10 cm square) and instructions. Protective Function: This bottle cutter has three pulleys which can be used to cut the bottle more easily with the rotation of the bottle, and also protect the beauty of the bottle after cutting .

I clamped a piece of scrap wood on top piece as shown in the pictures, and then drilled a hole right in between both pieces with a small drill bit.The majority of all bottle cutting done today utilizes either of the last two methods mentioned: the tapping method or the hot/cold technique.

As people with a very rustic upcycled DIY aesthetic in our home, this opens up a whole new world of decor possibility! This guide was designed with the environment in mind, use on any tablet or electronic device as you create. I wanted to create a notch in the top of the piece of wood, where the carbide cutter can slide back and forth so I could adjust how much it stuck out, but didn't want it to move from side to side. This glass cutter can be used on wine bottles, beer bottles, pill bottles, glass jars, and any other round glass container, but I suppose if you rotated the v-bit sideways (90 degress), it could be used to score long pieces of glass, a bit like ripping boards on a table saw. Share this post with them so they have all kinds of other options to consider before their final purchase!

Are you primarily interested in investing in a bottle cutter that will help you creatively upcycle things like wine and beer bottles, but you’re also feeling a little bit intrigued by the prospect of being able to do other kinds of glass cutting as well, even of pieces that aren’t shaped like bottles? FYI, the dust created here is close to nothing, however, this is silica dust, and prolonged exposure can lead to silicosis. One of the skills that we’ve long been wanting to learn, since so many of the DIY home decor projects we’ve been wistfully bookmarking as “to try later” involved this, is glass bottle cutting. This model is largely the same as the previous one but with one significant difference; this version can be easily adjusted to accommodate a larger bottle, which makes it a slightly more diverse tool even though it’s still just as simple to use and also still comes with all of the simple additional supplies that you’ll need to get started safely.Let me take the stress out of cutting glass bottles with this handy little kit that is super easy to use and can accommodate a massive range of bottle shapes and sizes – you can even choose where on the bottle you would like to cut it. This glass cutter comes with the necessary gloves and stopper rings, as well as a full instructional and safety manual. This bottle cutter is size adjustable and effective, with one of the most durable blades in the game, but it’s also a rather standard model that’s free of bells and whistles. I got a bit of help doing this part, filming with my phone for the video, taking pictures with my camera for this Instructable, and playing with fire, safely, might not be the best idea. Are you still thinking about how much you’d love to invest in a total starter kit but you’re also not entirely convinced that glass bottle cutting is something you’ll do extremely regularly, so you’re looking for a slightly more simplified and affordable version, probably with fewer inclusions?
