How to Tame Rabbits in Minecraft
Unfortunately, Minecraft rabbits cannot be tamed like other passive mobs. However, they can be caught and bred within an enclosure. Using carrots or dandelions, players can slowly lure rabbits to their desired location. Alternatively, rabbits can also be captured by using a Lead. After successfully bringing them into a pen, they can be fed carrots and dandelions to breed.
Dandelions in Minecraft can be easily found in plains, forests, and meadows. Carrots, on the other hand, are a bit more tricky to find. They have a 20% chance to spawn in Village farm plots. Additionally, carrots can generate within chests found in Pillager Outposts and Shipwrecks.
Minecraft Leads can be found in Woodland Mansion chests and buried treasure chests. Wandering traders will spawn equipped with two Leads for leading their llamas. Leads can also be crafted using the following recipe: String (Spider loot) x 3 and Slimeball x 1 (Slime loot).
After successfully getting a rabbit ranch up and running, the little mammals can be used for the following:
Bundle: Rabbit Hide x 6, String x 2Leather: Rabbit Hide x 4Cooked Rabbit: Raw Rabbit x 1Rabbit Stew: Bowl x 1, Baked Potato x 1, Cooked Rabbit x 1, Carrot x 1, Mushroom x 1Mundane Potion: Rabbit’s Foot + Water Bottle
