About this deal

The Bosch PSB 1800 LI-2 runs on a Bosch 18v PowerForAll lithium-ion battery, meaning it shares battery compatibility not only with other Bosch 18v Home & Garden (Green) cordless tools, but also with other tools from other manufacturers who have recently become part of the Power For All 18v Alliance, including Gardena, Wagner and Rapid. We know it is not a piece of cake searching for products to buy, and that is why this review is created. We hope that you will surely make the right choice. This cordless drill is not designed for drilling masonry and will not produce good results if used on this material.

The Ryobi LLCDI18022 combi drill 18v belongs to the ONE+ family of Ryobi. This means that you can use a ONE+ battery for multiple products from this manufacturer. This combination tool is perfect for screw driving and hammer drilling. An 18 V battery that can be used on other Bosch products making it one of the most economical tools on the market SInce the power drill acts as both a drill and driver, it’s a great addition for people looking to eliminate bulkiness that comes with a lot of tools and increasing efficiency at work. Though its an 18V rechargeable power tool, this drill/driver continuously delivers powerful speeds and power to see you through a wide range of tasks. You will like the cordless freedom of this tool because there is no cable restricting your movement. We love its compactness which makes storage a piece of cake. Torque: Usually, they come in multiple torque settings so that you can use them for various purposes effectively. You can set a high or low torque, depending on the type of job you are carrying out.If your working area is poorly lit, you don’t need to worry a bit. There is a LED lighting that guarantees maximum illumination of your working area so that you can get the most satisfactory outcome. We have reviewed combi drills from Makita, Bosch, DeWalt and many more. We wouldn’t say that the Bosch PSB 1800 is the best drill we have ever reviewed. This drill still proves to be one of Bosch’s best entry level combi drills, but Bosch has also released the Universal Impact Driver, which on first glance sounds like an impact driver. In fact it is more of a hammer drill but with impact driver features on the side. If you are after a dedicated impact driver there are certainly better offerings, but this might set to be a likely replacement for the Bosch PSB 1800 a few years down the road. Strong and versatile, the outstanding Bosch cordless drill is exactly what any professional needs for those big projects they might be working on. You can effortlessly switch between impact drilling, drilling, and screwing without breaking a sweat. It offers you the right amount of power you need to get your tasks dined thanks to 20 torque settings. There is a handy kit box accompanying this product, and that is why you can move it from one place to another without stress.

It has forward and reverses rotation with an electric brake for added safety. You will like its twin LED light which ensures proper brightening of the working area. It’s great that Bosch have included a charge level indicator on the base of this drill. It takes the guesswork out of knowing how much juice is left. It’s something that Ryobi could take on board. Right in front of the indicator is the LED work light. It’s reasonably powerful but turns off as soon as you let go of the trigger. You can, just about, run the light without turning the drill on as well, which is nice.

If anything, the grip is a little on the small side. I’ve got large hands, and the bottom of my palm started rubbing on the battery release button surround almost immediately. I don’t know how comfortable this will be over time, and I don’t think it would be great to use with gloves on. These clever Power for All batteries can push the business end of the drill to a maximum drilling speed of 1,350 rpm. It’s not class-leading but it’s fast enough for most jobs. In hammer mode, you get a maximum of 20,250 bpm, which is the slowest of all the combi drills I’ve tested and reviewed. The 38 Newton metres of torque it puts out isn’t beating any of the bigger name brands on the list either.

As always with Bosch the warranty that comes with the product is 2 years which once activated online becomes 3 years, this really does finish the product off nicely. Bosch PSB 1800 Accessory Set Impressive battery life that lasts 1 hour which is more than enough to get plenty of light jobs done With its two-speed gearbox, you can use this machine for many applications. You will like its raised body mouldings, which provides additional protection against dirt and dust. This product carries a full 3 year manufacturers warranty covering both faulty materials and faulty workmanship, it does not cover general wear and tear or damage, batteries, blades, bulbs and other consumables. In the unlikely event of a fault the item returned is subject to fair wear & tear and must not have been used beyond the scope of it's design. Please note that cordless products will normally have a shorter warranty of just 1 Year for the battery and or charger supplied. The Bosch PowerForAll Tool range is a range of tools you can buy knowing that batteries are compatible with all tools in the range providing they are of the same voltage. eg 18v fits 18v, 12v (10.8v) fits 12v (10.8v) etc. Please also note that 10.8v is compatible with 12v & vice versa as it is just a name change. Indego Lawnmowers also use the PowerForAll 18v battery but require a cover plate to be removed if changing.

Bosch Green PSB 1800 LI-2 18v Cordless Two-Speed Combi Hammer Drill Inc 2x 1.5Ah Batts 06039A3371

The PSB 1800 LI-2 lithium-ion two-speed combi from Bosch is suitable for drilling in wood (3 cm diameter), metal (1 cm diameter) and masonry (1 cm diameter) and can also be used as a screwdriver on these materials. It is conveniently cordless and always ready to use thanks to the lithium-ion technology and a 60 minute battery life. As the appliance is compact and weighs a light 1.3 kg, it is comfortable to use and won't cause your arm to ache after a few minutes. The softgrip also plays a part in making sure the drill is convenient to use.

With its maximum speed standing at 1,350 revolutions per minute, you can rely on this machine for optimum performance. The same battery and charger set you get with this cordless drill will work in a range of cordless tools from trusted tool brands including Flymo and Gardena. It’s something I’d like to see more tool brands get involved with, in my opinion. Also, they can work in a rotary drilling mode so that you can use them as standard drills. This mode makes use of fast rotation to make drill bits penetrate many surfaces like plastic, wood and some metals. However, this mode works best if you use it on soft materials. The grip shape is fine, but it’s not as refined compared to the ones on the Ryobi R18PD3 or the DeWalt DCD796. Bosch have been a bit stingy on the rubberised sections as well, as the tips of my fingers are trying to grip on to hard plastic during use. It’s just not as comfortable as some of the other cordless drills on my list. With a maximum possible speed of 1,900 revolutions per minute, you can depend on this machine for high performance. One of the big power tool brands, especially in the UK, Bosch have a decent slice of the market with their two broad levels of equipment. Their “blue” professional tools and “green” DIY tools vary massively in their capabilities as well as cost. I think it’s fair to say that the PSB 1800 fits squarely in the green DIY camp. At 1.14kg, this trustworthy Bosch cordless drill is one of the best all-rounded products on this list. It can handle both small and medium-sized projects without showing any signs of falling apart. It has a very soft grip making it very comfortable to use for a long period without feeling tired. It is also very compact meaning it can be used in tight space plus, you don’t have to worry about it taking up storage space at your workplace or home.
