Audio-Technica Ath-M50X For Gaming ? What'S Wrong With Using Audio Technica Ath
I'm just wondering if the Audio Technica ATH-M50x headphones are good for gaming more specifically CS:GO. Thanks in advance for any help.

I have those ones and it's fine, good for gaming how? It's a pair of headphones. There is no mic if that is what you mean.
A non-X version user here, but it's still the same pair. I use it as daily driver for 3,5 years and I do play CSGO. I can say that this pair is good for gaming, great for music and sound editing.
I have the M30x and they're great. comfortable even after long gaming sessions and good sound quality
I use them for CS all the time no problem. They work great for me, but if you're buying a pair of headphones for CS, one that supports multiple channels is a good idea. Also, it has no mic, so you would need one of those too. I Personally have a Blue Yeti (Link) which actually dropped in price (this is the set I bought, works well if it's what you're into, and I also noticed that the built in interface helped a lot with stereo separation that my desktop's jack didn't seem to do, so everything is easier to hear with it) but aside from gaming the M50X's are a great buy if you're looking for good sound at a low price.

The M50X is not good for gaming. The earcups are small, the clamp is very tight, and they have the smallest sound-stage that I have ever experienced. Pick up something like the HD598 SR, or the DT-770 Pro 80 Ohm if you need closed back headphones.
I would recommend the ath-ad700x for hearing footsteps. They are open back and have a larger sound stage, the m50 will have better bass though.

I use the M50X's with a cheapo XLR mic and a Focusrite Scarlett Solo and am pretty happy with it overall. Only complaint is the headband isn't the most comfortable (I'm going to swap it with a softer headband at some point), but YMMV.
