About this deal

Waverly parses out that they must be at a strip club based in the style and volume of the music at this hour and Nicole gets out an “Aphrodite made me do it” before Wynonna takes matters into her own hands and dunks Nicole’s phone into one of the beers. Nicole isn’t mad though; it was the only solution, clearly. The night I was raped, I walked right past my mother and said nothing. I was afraid to be dusted for fingerprints. I was afraid to be called a liar. It also annoyed me that they went through ALL that with the Rev and in the end they didn’t care to get his DNA to do a test to see if he was the father. I hate it when shows do that. This build up and no payoff. And the guy was a jerk and I wanted to punch him for the vile things he was saying to Wynonna.

of my hand. I split a pomegranate in half and let the seeds spill onto my dresser. I pressed some to my tongue. And I sat the rest out for her. Some people treat lost loves like stars, like guiding lights in the dark. You can spend your whole life following the past around if you really want to. My sister never did let a single thing go. It's true, she put Orion's body in the sky when he died. Now she sleeps under its light forever. It sounds romantic but her heart is so sore.

Aphrodite Made Me Do It’ is the imaginative approach to self-care with Trista Mateer’s latest collection of poetry and prose. In this empowering retelling, Mateer uses the mythology of the goddess to weave a common thread through the past and present, and by the end of this book, Aphrodite will make you believe in the powers of your own healing. Since as i said the whole book is highlighted, i will put here the quotes that for some reason i highlighted with a different colour than the most: And then, something interesting happens. Nicole says that if Wynonna is an Earp, and the bartender is a revenant, the baby is…Waverly. Now, she says Waverly because her girlfriend happens to be calling at the moment, but I don’t think that can be ignored.

I drew the tarot cards. I made the rose water. I sat out under the moon. I put on my grandmother's perfume. I crushed petals in the palm Books about Aphrodite can offer insights into the mythology and symbolism surrounding this vital figure and her cultural and historical significance. If you are curious about Greek mythology or the role of goddesses in ancient cultures, reading these books can be a rewarding experience.

After a little time, men did what they always do. They didn’t try to understand, they tried to explain. Meanwhile somewhere in a dusty barn, a boy wakes up a cobweb covered cowboy called Reeves and says he found the man they have been looking for. Reeves tells the boy to mark the man for execution, and that man is Doc Holliday. According to the boy, he has been “decloaked.” (More like de-Clootied amiright.)Venus was one of the first planets to be noticed by our ancestors since it can be observed with the naked eye at dawn and dusk. Because of this, the ancient Greeks had two names for Venus: Phosphorus in the morning and Hesperus in the evening. old versions of yourself / ideas about who and what you were supposed to be / other people's expectations of you / societal expectations of you / gender norms / heteronormativity / internalized ideas about what your life is supposed to look like / the idea that romantic love makes you whole / relationships that cause you more grief than they're worth / people who cross your boundaries / family that makes you feel unsafe or unwelcome / the need to make your happiness look like everyone else's I glanced at a post on tumblr with a theory that Nicole is actually the half revenant and they’re setting up Waverly being part rev as a red herring. Which I thought was a cool theory but a real stretch. But now it’s been haunting my thoughts. I’m not 100% on board with the thought that Waverly is part revenant. I think Waverly is just a normal case of infidelity or adoption, maybe Willa’s, idk. This is undoubtedly an exciting book for that as well. It’s coming from the perspective of talking specifically about Aphrodite. The way that it’s written, the author’s very clever. She does put her points of view across, but it’s done so subtly that it doesn’t feel like she’s trying to influence you. I would highly recommend this book on Aphrodite.
