About this deal

All 32 tracks are present and correct, except for INXS’ ‘Mystify’, which hasn’t been included due to licensing restrictions.

The album debuted at number 11 on the Billboard 200 album chart, selling just under 34,000 copies in its first week. fm, compilation album tracks appear under the name of Various Artists erroneously because the individual artist is not listed in the album's ID3 information. The 'Product' page will show the most up to date info we have with regards to the item and its release date, but this information is subject to change so check in with us if you have any questions. I don't find that it detracts from enjoying the CD particularly if you were a teenager during the 80's as it really takes you back.

tracks across 4 CDs, featuring an amazing selection of the original 12” versions that represent the era – from huge pop chart hits to dancefloor classics, including some rare tracks on CD. Sylvester… and we’ve also included some huge club tracks from Barbara Pennington and Sheryl Lee Ralph, along with the catchiest Dance-Pop from London Boys and Laura Branigan.

Devotion and in 1984 remixed Sister Sledge’s ‘Lost In Music’ which became a massive hit again and is included here in its full 12” version. Deleting this artist may remove other artists and scrobbles from your library - please handle this with caution! O.S Band and Nu Shooz are also featured alongside freestyle Hip-Hop and Pop infused beats from Whistle and Lisa Lisa And Cult Jam With Full Force. This volume, featuring 29 tracks across 2-LPs, pressed on 1 Purple and 1 Pink vinyl, presents the best in DISCO and ELECTRO.

Completing the disc is Pop gold from The Bangles, Kim Wilde, Matthew Wilder, and finishing with the epic ‘If I Could Turn Back Time’ from Cher. Each edition features an essential collection of tracks representing key genres from the incredible diversity that were all part of 1980’s Dance music. It's always strange that these compilations feature no Madonna or Michael Jackson etc but you just have to accept that these tracks must be too expensive to include.
