OK I finished. This is an interesting read if you are a fan, but I can't say it is a good book overall. As an educator I am familiar with Gardners Theory of Multiple Intelligences, but Dave Davies Theory of Multiple Intelligences was just too much for me. Had to skim that chapter as well as most of the last chapter. Ironically after that Dave took offence when people dismissed him as being "way out." The Book of Dave - Wikipedia

David Book received his MEng in Materials Engineering from the University of Birmingham (1990) and completed his PhD (1995) at the same institution working on the processing of rare-earth permanent magnets. He then spent 18 months in the Department of Materials Science, Tohoku University (Sendai, Japan) as an EU-JSPS Postdoctoral Fellow and was appointed lecturer in the same Department in 1996. He returned to Birmingham in 2001 and subsequently became Head of the Hydrogen Materials Group (2004), a Senior Research Fellow (2007), Reader (2011) and Professor (2014). David’s research centres on: various solid-state hydrogen storage materials (porous, Mg alloys, complex hydrides and nanocarbon); dense-metal membranes for hydrogen separation; microstructural processing of materials using hydrogen; hydrides within cladding materials of nuclear fission reactors; nanoscale catalysts and permanent magnetic materials. The island in the novel is inspired by the hilltop town of Hampstead in London and its famous parkland Hampstead Heath. In the book, Self describes a future England which has been inundated with rising seas, leaving Hampstead as the only remaining part of London. The inhabitants of this area, unaware that the drowned city of London is so close by, know their island as Ham. The geography of the island, illustrated in a map at the start of the book, bears close resemblance to the modern areas of Hampstead which inspired it. [5] Contemporary narrative [ edit ] It's depressing. Much of the Kinks music is sad, downer stuff, but the sheer beauty of it redeemed it every time. Liu, R.&Book, D.(2014). Previous projects have included: EPSRC SUPERGEN "UK Sustainable Hydrogen Energy Consortium (UK-SHEC)";EPSRC "Supply Chain Research Applied to Clean Hydrogen (SCRATCH)"; the 22-partner EC Framework 6 NESSHY project; and the Birmingham Science City " Hydrogen Energy Project". One challenge is to how to effectively store hydrogen on vehicles. Conventional storage solutions include liquefaction or compression, however there are energy efficiency and major safety concerns associated with both these options. Therefore, there is a great need to develop viable solid-state storage materials. And there's worse things to be than Ray Davies. Many of Dave's tales of his elder brother are derogatory, but honestly do we even know if they are true? Someone with this level of 'issues' such as voices in the head from outer space. Do we trust their stories as gospel? The main antagonist of The Man in Room 1280 and the unintentional antagonist in the epilogues, he was hurt and murdered by William Afton only for Andrew attaching himself to the man's soul to ensure that he can't die.

The book resembles, in part, Riddley Walker, a 1981 novel by Russell Hoban [2] written in a similar phonetic manner and also set in England centuries after a major disaster. Self provided an introduction to the new 2002 edition of Hoban's book. [3] Harrison, M John (27 May 2006). "Review: The Book of Dave by Will Self". The Guardian. London . Retrieved 25 May 2010.

In Fazbear Frights: Bunny Call, It's revealed that William after surviving a fire of Freddy Fazbear's Pizza Place was horrifically damaged, with his body being completely burnt and on the verge of death, with Andrew still inside of him and tormenting him in his mind. The government later took him off of life support. However, he continued to live. During his stay, he became the source of speculation amongst the nurses, sensing something evil in him, a theory that's further believed after scans revealed two minds inhabiting his brain. Y. Zhang and D. Book (2011) Effect of Milling Conditions on the Purity of Hydrogen Desorbed from Ball-Milled Graphite. Journal of Physical Chemistry C 115 (51) 25285-25289 Hydrogen is widely regarded as the most promising alternative to carbon-based fuels: it can be produced from a variety of renewable resources, and - when coupled with fuel cells - offers near-zero emissions of pollutants and greenhouse gases. However, developing hydrogen as a major energy carrier, will require solutions to many scientific and technological challenges. D Reed and D Book (2009) In situ Raman Studies of the Decomposition of Lithium Borohydride. Materials Research Society Symposium Proceedings 1216 1216-W06-05 I also appreciated Dave Davies' candid comments about the man whom he loves dearly...yet who has used and abused him all his life...his genius older brother Ray Davies It is their tortuous relationship that is at the heart of KINK. From what Dave Davies says...its a bonafide miracle that he and his brother were able to stay together (as a band) for as long as they did..it also gives fascinating insight into why The Kinks eventually broke up...never to reunite again (at least as of this writing).
