Diana conceptualized the creation of Room 23 motivated by the idea to pair her passion for raising awareness for The Sanela Diana Jenkins Human Rights Project at UCLA School of Law with beautiful and entertaining photographs of her friends.

It’s not always possible to control the room temperature for your baby precisely, especially during spells of hot weather. Sanela Diana Jenkins presents Room 23, a fine art coffee table book that features photography and art direction by Deborah Anderson.

When it comes to the ideal temperature for your baby’s room, experts recommend maintaining a temperature of between 16 and 20 degrees Celsius both in summer and in winter. When the room temperature is too high or too low, your baby may not sleep as long or as well as he or she could. Make sure there’s a thermometer in the room where your baby sleeps, so you can be aware of the ambient temperature. Several of the subjects were personal friends of Anderson; the 37 year-old is the daughter of Jon Anderson, the lead singer of the rock band Yes, and grew up around actors and musicians. Created to become a coffee table book, the reality TV personality wrote the book to raise funds for charity.

We wanted to portray anything and everything, from Minnie Driver reading a script, topless, in bed, to Jonny Lee Miller in the bath with his wife, and Lindsay Lohan in her bra and underwear. Holed up inside room 23 was the photographer Deborah Anderson and a skeleton crew of stylists, make-up artists and hairdressers. This artistic exploration depicts a year in the life of a Beverly Hills penthouse suite featuring 100 celebrities. I was sitting there, giggling inside my rabbit head and thinking, “In a weird way, this is a bit of history being made”. You can stop doing this once your little one has learned to roll from back to front and front to back without help – after that it’s fine to let your baby find his or her own sleeping position.

Sleeping separately but in the same room as you until at least 6 months of age has the lowest risk of SIDS.
